Image of Harris-Jackson Mystery CampAPS teacher Nicole Smith from Harris-Jackson CLC wrote to share her excitement from APS Summer Mystery Camp. The APS camps, made possible by partnerships with local foundations and organizations, are free of charge and are aimed at fun and engaging ways of learning, including solving mysteries and taking field trips. Partners include Hale Farm and Village, Stan Hywet, the Soap Box Derby, and the Akron Art Museum. Here is what Nicole had to share:

I’m so in love with this group and the learning taking place. Here are few things from this week: experiment to show how precipitation accumulates in rivers, oceans and lakes -- used wax paper and colored water; lima bean growth journaling -- noticing why our bean is larger (water, growth).

Thanks for allowing me this opportunity to teach!
Nicole
