Image of Tony Swain VideoIn the fall of 2005, 10-year-old Tony Anthony Swain pushed his younger sister out of the way of a vehicle speeding through a school crosswalk. While his sister was saved by his courageous efforts, sadly, Tony was killed in the collision. Fourteen years later, the bravery and legacy of that little boy still have not been forgotten.

At his school, Glover CLC, a proclamation was signed by the APS Board of Education and Superintendent to dedicate and name the Learning Resource Center after Tony. It's a fitting tribute to an avid reader who loved to learn. It's this legacy that his family and school mates honored him for and encouraged others with on this special day.
