Image of Mayor's Town HallToday was an important day for Akron Public Schools students interested in civic and community involvement and information.

At the Oliver Ocasek State Office Building this morning, our students took part in the Mayor’s Youth Town Hall. Part of an enriching and well-rounded education, we feel, is to let our students know they are part of a larger community beyond their school and their friends at school. Mayor Dan Horrigan's Youth Town Hall helps our students gain perspective on the bigger picture of where they live, it's challenges and resources.

We wish to express our gratitude for everyone involved in making this work for APS students.
