Pfeiffer's T Shirt Exchange is a Success

The Shirts On Their Backs

Image of Pfeiffer T-Shirt ExchangeTeacher Daniel Himmelright's fourth-graders at Pfeiffer Elementary School were paired with a school in Argentina to exchange shirts from their respective areas. Pfeiffer kids sent shirts from various local businesses, such as Swenson's and El Rincon Mexican Restaurant.

Many of our local businesses were happy to donate shirts for the exchange, and we thank them.

Here's how the T -Shirt Exchange works:

Students find shirts specific to their country with a school name, museum, event or landmark. It could even be a small event like Copenhagen Hot Dog Eating Contest 2015! Students avoid name brands or items that could be found online and make this a truly unique experience for all students involved. Some schools even make their own shirts for the exchange, and the shirts can be new or gently worn.

Students then post their pictures so they can see where all the T-shirts are coming from. (Here is a sample of last year’s Global T-Shirt Exchange with six other countries: Global T-Shirt Exchange with SGMS).
