The first student of the new school year to lead the Akron School Board in its Pledge of Allegiance comes from Akron's newest school, Case Community Learning Center (CLC).

Adam Davidson is in fifth grade at Case and has been at the school since he was in kindergarten. That means he spent several years at the APS swing space at 400 W. Market St. patiently waiting for his new school. And he loves it! Adam told the board last night that he likes it because it's -- in his words -- "so big!"

Adams' favorite subject in school is math. When he's not in school, he likes to draw. Sharks are his favorite subject. He also enjoys television. Principal Danjile Henderson joined Adam and his mom at the board meeting and told us he is a joy to have in school. Adam has a couple of siblings not far away. His sister attends Litchfield CLC, and his brother goes to Firestone CLC.

Thanks, Adam
