The Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce (FACC) hosted its fourth annual Stuff the Bus event Aug. 4 and invited area businesses and organizations to help fill backpacks with school supplies for area students in Akron Public Schools and Copley-Fairlawn City Schools who will return to school soon.

Among those who made donations were residents from The Village of St. Edward, shown below. The group brought in three boxes filled with school supplies.

Representatives from Delta Performance, shown , dropped off donations collected from their athletes. Volunteers who donated their time to help with the event are shown above in front of the bus.

Local students entertained those who stopped by and mascots made appearances, according to FACC officials.

McWhorter said the event was their most successful yet, resulting in 400 filled backpacks.

“The bus was stuffed,” she added.
