Students from multiple Akron schools are joining to put on a performance that addresses some of the major issues they face today.

“The Domino Effect: Dismantling the School-to-Prison Pipeline” performance will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at East Community Learning Center, 80 Brittain Road.

The performance is a series of skits written by kids from East, Akron Early College and Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts.

Students were asked to write short skits based on issues they face every day in school, at home and in their community. They came up with a variety of issues such as drugs, profanity, poverty, suicide, sexual harassment and racial profiling.

Tickets are $10 at the door and $8 if purchased in advance.
