Image of "Scenery" by Rebecca Stuttler, 10th grade at Firestone CLCOur thanks to the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) program for Summit County for working with APS art instructors to create a display at Summit ArtSpace.

The event, May 8, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. showcases and auctions 50 pieces of student and teacher artwork with all proceeds funding CASA/GAL and their special mission.

CASAs do special work in our community; and APS, its students and teachers are helping support that mission. CASAs are court appointed volunteers who advocate for neglected abused children in the family court system, assuring that their rights and needs are heard. You may learn more at www.summitcasagal.org.

Join us for a party -- an Artists' Party -- and open house for all student artists, their families and teachers May 8, 2018, at Summit ArtSpace, 140 E. Market St. in downtown Akron.

Parking is free behind the building and across the street on South Summit Street.

APS wishes to thank its wonderful art teachers for the part they have played in supporting this wonderful program:
