This diverse group of scholars will pursue degrees in biology, computer science, business, engineering, biomedical science and education.

During the ceremony, each “Future Zip” was called to the stage and their names and intended majors shared with the audience as our fight song played in the background. After the ceremonial signing of a poster with the University seal, each student was welcomed to the Zips family with gifts and mementos to mark the occasion.

Similar events are taking place this week at Akron Early College, Ellet High School, R. G. Drage and Portage Lakes Career Centers, and Barberton Early College.

Kelly Herold, director of educational outreach in the Wayne Campus Administration, Christopher Stimler, senior assistant director of admissions, and Annie Hanson Hilaire, director of community relations and engagement in the Office of the President, welcomed our newest scholars and will participate in the upcoming events.
