The new program was made possible through a subgrant from the Ohio Department of Education's RemotEDx initiative. APS teachers will have four challenges to choose from, where the students will work to solve real problems at the zoo such as preventing soil erosion in the alpaca habitat. Student-developed solutions will be shown at a Presentation of Learning, where winning designs will then be presented to zoo staff.
