Image of Salvation Army logoThe Salvation Army of Summit County opens its day-long school-time program for children of working parents on September 14, 2020, providing quality, day-long distance learning and tutoring for children enrolled in area schools. Children will be helped to login, work on assignments and complete school-related projects. Teachers will provide personal assistance and tutoring as necessary—plus a balanced breakfast, lunch and snack. The program’s hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, are designed to accommodate most working parents' schedules; and the charge is only $85 per child a week. Due to pandemic restrictions, enrollment is limited and preference will be made for working families. To enroll or discuss eligibility, call 330.762.8481. Appointments will be made Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
