Now Open to the Public

City of Akron Outdoor Pools and Splash Pads

Image of Patterson Park Splash PadAs of July 1, the City of Akron pools and splash pads are now open to the public. The pools are located at Reservoir Park in Goodyear Heights and Perkins Park in West Akron, The splash pads are at Joy Park in East Akron and Patterson Park in North Hill. To have access to pools this summer, all users must sign up for a free membership; register at akron.recdesk.com or in person at either of the pools. All minors under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian register them for the membership. A maximum capacity has been determined for each facility (40 people per pool), masks are worn by all employees and patrons are asked to wear masks when they are not in the water. The splash pads will be staffed to monitor attendance and to clean as necessary. For the city pools, all children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (all children 8 and under at the splash pads). Pools and splash pads are open Monday-Friday, 1-7 p.m., and Saturday, 1-5 p.m., weather permitting. The season runs until August 22 for the pools and September 13 for the splash pads.
