Image of Family, Farm, FreedomThe Summit County Historical Society is celebrating its 95th birthday at a free event on Saturday, July 13, rain or shine. The John Brown House will welcome a new interactive exhibit, “Family. Farm. Freedom.,” with a new sculptured bust by Woodrow Nash. The Perkins Stone Mansion will also be open, and there will be sheep herding demonstrations as well as an equestrian dancing presentation by Melinda Arnitsis. Edie (Society volunteer shepherdess) and Christopher Steiner are happy to announce the arrival of their new border collie. A contest is running on the Society’s Facebook page to name the new puppy.
