Kenmore’s Cardinal mascot won a spot in the Akron Beacon Journal’s annual Top 10 contest. The red bird ranked the 10th favorite mascot in the newspaper’s 2012 Beacon’s Best report.
“We are right up there with Zippy, Brutus Buckeye, Slider and Orbit,” Kenmore principal Ginelle Rasnick said. “Go, Cards!”
The newspaper picked its winners based on the number of reader votes.
